Hello Clients, Colleagues and Friends,
I hope your New Year is going well.
2020 was a difficult year for so many of us. But we like to focus on positive things in the face of such devastating events. The resiliency of our economy and the human spirit displayed themselves in remarkable fashion. Vaccines were developed at previously unimaginable speeds, the workplace evolved, creativity blossomed and a light at the end of the tunnel appeared.
When the pandemic first started to create havoc in the markets, we urged clients to remain disciplined, focus on the long term and not give in to panic. That advice has paid off. While the markets experienced dramatic declines last spring, all major indices quickly rebounded and ended up posting strong returns for 2020. Investors that remained disciplined reaped these benefits.
Capital markets once more confirmed the adage “This time it’s different” remains one of the great albatrosses that continually trips up investors. Those that sold at or near market bottoms are once again sitting on the sidelines, watching markets reach new highs.
Like any small business, Stone Wealth Management experienced many challenges in 2020. However, we were also blessed with much for which we are thankful.
In January 2020, we celebrated the wedding of Kelly McCune and Jerrod Vick. In February, Kacie Swartz welcomed her daughter, Natalie. Brittany McGehee also welcomed her 2nd child, Gus, born in June. Kacie and Brittany also became shareholders in Stone Wealth Management.
After canceling our annual client appreciation event in November, we instead donated a portion of the event budget to the Central Texas Food Bank, enough to supply 40,000 free meals per their calculation.
Despite the challenges we faced in 2020, we ended up finishing the year strong and look forward to continuing our growth as we serve our clients for many years to come.
Please stay tuned for upcoming announcements about the expansion of Stone Wealth Management.
As always, we would be delighted to schedule an initial consultation with any of your family or friends that have wealth management needs.
